Ciprofloxacin/Hydrocortisone Drug Information

Ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone (Cipro® HC) is approved for the treatment of acute otitis externa, also known as an outer ear infection or "swimmer's ear." The medication comes in the form of an ear drop and is generally applied to the affected ear twice a day for seven days. Most people have no problems with it; however, the most common side effects is headache.
 
Prior to using ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have and any other drugs you are taking. Ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone is not expected to interact with other medicines, nor is it expected to pose problems for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding; however, your medical history should still be discussed with your healthcare provider prior to beginning treatment.
