Minocycline HCL
Many different bacterial infections can be treated with minocycline HCl (hydrochloride), such as gonorrhea, acne, pneumonia, and anthrax. This drug does not kill the bacteria directly, but it does inhibit bacteria's ability to make protein, which prevents them from growing and multiplying. Several different forms of minocycline are available, and it is taken anywhere from one to four times a day, depending on the condition being treated and other factors.
