Who Should Not Take Augmentin?

You should not take Augmentin if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Augmentin, amoxicillin, clavulanate potassium, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Are allergic to penicillin.
     
  • Have had liver problems due to Augmentin in the past.
