Avelox Pills

The prescription antibiotic Avelox® (moxifloxacin) is approved for treating many different infections. It is a powerful "broad-spectrum" drug that is effective against several types of bacteria. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as skin infections, sinus infections, and bronchitis.

The pill form of Avelox is only available in one strength: 400-mg tablets. The medication is also available in injectable form. In general, this antibiotic is taken once a day. You can take it at any time of day, as long as there are 24 hours between doses. To reduce your chances of developing an antibiotic-resistant infection, avoid missing doses and finish your entire prescription (even if you start feeling better).
