Who Should Not Take Biaxin?

You should not take Biaxin if you:
  • Are allergic to Biaxin, clarithromycin, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. You should not take Biaxin if you have had an allergic reaction to any other macrolide antibiotic, such as erythromycin (Ery-Tab®).
