Cefepime Indications

Approved uses (also called "indications") for cefepime (Maxipime®) include the treatment of a number of bacterial infections, such as:
 
 
Cefepime is approved for use in adults and children as young as two months old. It is a type of cephalosporin antibiotic, and works to kill certain bacteria by stopping bacteria from making cell walls.
 
There are also some off-label (or unapproved) uses for the drug, such as treating certain other infections.
