- If you have decreased kidney function

Side Effects of CephalexinAs with any medicine, side effects are possible with cephalexin. Not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects, however. In most cases, if side effects do occur, they are minor, meaning that they require no treatment or are easily treated by your healthcare provider.
Common side effects include, but are not limited to:
- Upset stomach (dyspepsia)
- Unexplained rash
- Yeast infection.
