Ciprofloxacin and Sun

If you have a bacterial infection, you may benefit from ciprofloxacin. This prescription medication is a type of antibiotic and is approved for treating a wide variety of infections. However, ciprofloxacin is not suitable for everyone, and it may cause complications for some people.

For example, you may be more sensitive to the sun when taking ciprofloxacin. Therefore, try to avoid sun exposure, including natural sun and tanning beds, while using the oral products. If you do go out in the sun, wear protective clothing and sunscreen. If you develop a severe sunburn while taking ciprofloxacin, notify your healthcare provider right away.
