Dicloxacillin and Adverse Effects

Although most people tolerate dicloxacillin well, side effects are possible. Because it is an older medication, only vague details are available about how often specific problems occur. However, some of the possible adverse effects of dicloxacillin include:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Canker sores.

In most cases, side effects of dicloxacillin are minor and easy to treat. However, there are some potentially serious problems that require immediate medical care. Contact your healthcare provider right away if you are taking this medicine and develop watery or bloody diarrhea, have difficulty breathing, or develop other potentially serious problems.
