If you have certain bacterial infections, you may benefit from Flagyl

metronidazole). This prescription medication is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including some sexually transmitted infections and infections caused by parasites and anaerobic bacteria, which do not require oxygen to survive.
When using the oral form of Flagyl, the medicine comes as regular tablets, long-acting tablets, and capsules. It is taken one to four times daily, depending on the particular use. It is important to take your doses at the same time(s) each day. Taking them too far apart may make the drug less effective, and taking them too close together may increase the risk of side effects.
Although most people tolerate this medication well, it is not suitable for everyone. Possible side effects include nausea,
headaches, and vaginal infections.
