Children and Floxin-Related Joint Problems

Final Thoughts

Floxin is not approved for use in children under the age of 18 years. If, however, your child's healthcare provider determines that the drug is appropriate for your child, be sure to tell him or her if your child has a history of joint, muscle, or tendon problems before starting treatment.

Also, contact your child's healthcare provider immediately if any muscle, joint, or tendon problems occur during or following Floxin use. Signs of joint problems may include:

  • Joint weakness
  • Soreness
  • Swelling
  • Problems walking or moving joints.

Your child's healthcare provider will tell you if Floxin should be stopped.
