Floxin Antibiotic Uses

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the antibiotic Floxin® (ofloxacin) for use in the treatment of several different bacterial infections, such as:
 
It comes in tablet form and works by interfering with two enzymes that bacteria need in order to multiply. The length of treatment will vary. It can be a one-time, single dose or may go as long as six weeks.
