Prostatitis and Floxin

The U.
 S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Floxin® (ofloxacin) for prostatitis, urinary tract infections, certain skin infections, and several other conditions. Because it is an antibiotic, Floxin is not effective against viral infections, such as the common cold. It should not be used by people under the age of 18, but can be given to older adults.

Prostatitis is a common condition in men. Fortunately, Floxin is an effective treatment for this condition, and most people can take it without any problems. Your treatment length will vary, but could go as long as six weeks.
