Keflex Reactions

Keflex® (cephalexin) is a prescription medication approved to treat bacterial infections and prevent heart valve infections. Although most people tolerate this medication well, it is possible to experience adverse reactions. Keflex, for example, can cause several side effects, such as:
 
While most side effects tend to be minor and are generally easy to treat, make sure to notify your healthcare provider right away if you develop serious reactions to Keflex, such as bloody stools, severe diarrhea, or difficulty breathing.
 
Also, negative Keflex reactions may occur if you have certain medical conditions (such as kidney disease), certain allergies, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. To help avoid complications, talk to your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking before starting treatment with Keflex.
