You should not take Augmentin if you:
- Are allergic to Augmentin, amoxicillin, clavulanate potassium, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
- Are allergic to penicillin.
- Have had liver problems due to Augmentin in the past.
