When you use medications such as the typhoid vaccine or certain other antibiotics along with Azactam, drug interactions can occur. These reactions can increase your risk of side effects or perhaps make the medications less effective, among other things. Before starting treatment, be sure to talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any drug interactions that may apply to you.
- Aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as:
- Amikacin (Amikin®)
- Kanamycin (Kantrex®)
- Neomycin (Neo-Fradin®)
- Furosemide (Lasix®)
- Sodium picosulfate/magnesium oxide/anhydrous citric acid (Prepopik®)
- Tice® BCG (bacillus Calmette-Guérin)
- Typhoid vaccine.
