What If I Receive an Overdose?

Storage Information

Cefoxitin comes in vials of the dry medication (to be mixed) or in premixed containers. Cefoxitin vials (unmixed) should be stored at room temperature. The premixed containers should be frozen until use. They can be thawed at room temperature or under refrigeration; do not thaw in warm water or in a microwave.
