Cefuroxime axetil is prescribed to treat certain bacterial infections. Specifically, this medication can treat a wide variety of conditions, including strep throat, ear infections, and sinus infections, to name a few. Prior to using this drug, tell your healthcare provider if you have kidney disease or any allergies. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are possible side effects of this medicine.
