Although Cefzil® (cefprozil) can be an effective antibiotic for treating certain bacterial infections, it may cause problems in some people. For instance, if you have allergies to penicillin or other cephalosporin antibiotics, you may also be allergic to Cefzil.
An allergic reaction to Cefzil can be quite dangerous, so let your healthcare provider know immediately if you notice any signs of such a reaction, such as:
