Antibiotics Home > Doxycycline 75 mg Tablets

Doxycycline is available in several different forms and strengths. 75 mg doxycycline tablets are sold under the brand names Doryx®, Monodox®, NutriDox, Vibramycin®, and Vibra-Tabs®.

A healthcare provider may prescribe doxycycline to treat various conditions, such as bacterial infections, acne, periodontitis (gum disease), or anthrax, to name a few. Your healthcare provider will consider several factors before determining your dosage, such as the condition being treated, the particular doxycycline product, your age, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are taking.

It is important to take doxycycline with plenty of water (or other fluids) while in an upright position, in order to prevent the medication from irritating the throat. Make sure that you complete your entire prescription of doxycycline, even if you start feeling better. This will ensure that the infection is completely treated.
