Cimetidine, disulfiram, and certain seizure medications may interact negatively with Flagyl. Interactions may occur if Flagyl is taken with these medicines that may increase your risk of developing side effects or reduce the effectiveness of the medication. To help prevent these potentially serious Flagyl drug interactions, tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking before using the antibiotic.
- Cimetidine (Tagamet®)
- Disulfiram (Antabuse®)
- Eplerenone (Inspra™)
- Lithium (Eskalith®, Lithobid®)
- Maraviroc (Selzentry™)
- Oral typhoid vaccine
- Ranolazine (Ranexa®)
- Warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®).
