Metroniazole

Metronidazole (Flagyl®, MetroCream®, MetroGel®, MetroGel-Vaginal®, MetroLotion®, Noritate®, Vandazole®) is an antibiotic drug effective against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites. It comes in many different forms and can be taken orally or used topically, depending on the particular product. Before your healthcare provider prescribes you metronidazole, make sure he or she is aware if you have seizures or epilepsy, liver disease, or alcoholism. Potential side effects of this medication include headaches, a metallic taste in the mouth, and nausea.
