Using Moxifloxacin Eye Drops in Children

These eye drops are approved for treating bacterial pink eye in children as young as one year old (for Vigamox) or four months old (for Moxeza).

Are Moxifloxacin Eye Drops Used for Off-Label Reasons?

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this product for something other than bacterial conjunctivitis (this would be known as an "off-label" use). At this time, using the eye drops to treat eye infections other than bacterial conjunctivitis or to prevent any type of eye infection would be considered an off-label moxifloxacin eye drops use.
