Were you looking for information about Plaquenil? Plaquinal is a common misspelling of Plaquenil.
Plaquenil® (hydroxychloroquine sulfate) is a medicine used to prevent and treat malaria. It can also be used to treat lupus and rheumatoid arthritis by limiting the immune system reactions that cause these diseases. Plaquenil, which is available by prescription only, comes in tablet form and is taken either once a week to prevent malaria or once or twice daily for other uses. Consult your healthcare provider before using this medication if you have psoriasis, liver disease, or any allergies.
