Antibiotics Home > Suprax and Pregnancy

During animal studies, Suprax (cefixime) did not appear to cause problems when it was given to pregnant rats and mice. As a result, this antibiotic is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy. However, humans may respond differently to medications than animals do, so make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before taking it during pregnancy.
