Antibiotics Home > Vantin Side Effects

During extensive clinical studies, Vantin was shown to cause diarrhea, vomiting, and headaches. Fortunately, most people tolerate this antibiotic fairly well, and side effects tend to be minor and easy to treat. However, because allergic reactions and other potentially serious problems can also occur, contact your healthcare provider if you develop anything that does not seem right.

An Introduction to Vantin Side Effects

Just like any medicine, Vantin® (cefpodoxime proxetil) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who receives the drug will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.

(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Vantin. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list with you.)
