Minocycline and Pregnancy

General Recommendations

In most cases, pregnant women should not take tetracycline antibiotics, including minocycline. However, there may be some situations in which the benefits clearly outweigh the risk. For instance, pregnant women may be prescribed this medicine if no safer antibiotics are expected to be effective for treating an infection.
