More Drugs That Interact With Minocycline

Oral Typhoid Vaccine
Minocycline may decrease the effectiveness of the oral typhoid vaccine. If you have taken minocycline recently or are currently taking minocycline, your oral typhoid vaccine may need to be postponed for at least a day after finishing minocycline.

Penicillins
Minocycline may make penicillin antibiotics less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before combining minocycline with a penicillin medication.

Quinapril
Quinapril may decrease the absorption of minocycline, perhaps making it less effective. Separate your doses of minocycline and quinapril by as much time as possible (at least two hours).

Retinoids
Combining minocycline with some retinoid medications may increase the risk of a dangerous condition known as intracranial hypertension. In many cases, such combinations are not recommended. Be sure to check with your healthcare provider before combining such medications, making specific mention of this interaction.

Warfarin
Combining minocycline and warfarin may increase the risk of bleeding. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your INR and prothrombin time more frequently and adjust your warfarin dosage if necessary.
