Ofloxacin 0.3% Ear

A healthcare provider may prescribe Floxin® Otic (ofloxacin otic solution) to treat certain bacterial infections of the ear. Currently, only generic versions of this ear medication are sold, which are available in one form -- Ofloxacin otic 0.3% solution in 5-mL or 10-mL multidose bottles.

The ear drops are typically used once or twice a day for 7 to 14 days. You should begin to feel better within a few days of starting this product. However, this does not mean your infection is gone. It is important that you finish the full course of this antibiotic. If you stop using this medication too soon, your infection may return and antibiotic resistance may develop.
