Ofloxacin Otic

Available by prescription only, ofloxacin otic solution (Floxin® Otic) is a type of ear drop used to treat bacterial infections of the ear. Specifically, it is used to treat otitis externa (outer ear infections, commonly called "swimmer's ear") and otitis media (middle ear infections) in certain people.
 
Ofloxacin otic solution is typically used once or twice a day for 7 to 14 days. Most people are able to use these ear drops without any problems, but side effects have been known to occur. The most commonly reported reactions include dizziness, ear itching, and ear discomfort.
