Plaquinil
Were you looking for information about Plaquenil? Plaquinil is a common misspelling of Plaquenil.
Plaquenil® (hydroxychloroquine sulfate) is a prescription drug licensed for the treatment and prevention of malaria infections. It can also be used to treat lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Plaquenil works for malaria by entering red blood cells, entering the bacteria, and interfering with the internal functions of the bacteria. It probably works for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis by limiting the immune system reactions that cause these diseases. Potential side effects include diarrhea, dizziness, and eye damage.
