Who Should Not Take Rocephin?

The following people should not take Rocephin:
 
  • People who are allergic to Rocephin, Rocephin-related medications (such as Omnicef® or Keflex®), or any inactive ingredients used in making Rocephin. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients in Rocephin.
     
  • Newborns (especially if they are premature) with extremely high levels of bilirubin. Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes) may be a sign of high levels of bilirubin.
