Rocephine

Rocephin® (ceftriaxone) is a prescription medicine approved to treat common bacterial infections, such as meningitis, gonorrhea, and skin infections. It can also be used before surgery to decrease the chances of an infection. Rocephin helps kill bacteria by affecting the cell wall of bacteria. The antibiotic is given by IV or as an injection and is usually administered once or twice a day. While most people tolerate Rocephin well, potential side effects include diarrhea, unexplained rash, and injection site reactions.
