Who Should Not Take Sulfatrim?
You should not take this medication if you:
- Are allergic to Sulfatrim, sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim, or any of the inactive components used to make Sulfatrim. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. You should not take Sulfatrim if you have had an allergic reaction to any other sulfonamide ("sulfa" drug).
- Have megaloblastic anemia due to a folate deficiency.
- Are an infant less than two months old.
