Tetracycline Hydrochloride

Dosage of Tetracycline for Acne

The recommended dosage of tetracycline for acne that is moderate to severe is 125 mg to 500 mg, twice daily. Acne treatment should be continued for at least 12 weeks for maximum benefit, but may be continued for longer. As the condition improves, your healthcare provider may decrease the dosage to 125 mg to 500 mg once daily.
