The recommended dosage of tetracycline for acne that is moderate to severe is tetracycline 125 mg to tetracycline 500 mg, twice daily. Acne treatment should be continued for at least 12 weeks for maximum benefit. As acne improves, your healthcare provider may decrease the dosage to 125 mg to 500 mg once daily.
Acne treatment may be needed for up to 12 weeks or even longer.
