What If I Overdose on Vantin?

How Should This Medicine Be Stored?

Vantin tablets should be stored at room temperature. The powder used to make the liquid suspension should be stored at room temperature until it is mixed by your pharmacist. After it is mixed, it should be kept under refrigeration and must be discarded after 14 days.  
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you forget to take your dose of Vantin, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In this case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

  • Cefpodoxime 100 mg tablets
  • Cefpodoxime 200 mg tablets
  • Cefpodoxime 50 mg per 5 mL for oral suspension
