Zithromax (Cont.)

Zithromax Dosing

The dose of Zithromax that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Your age
  • The medical condition you are being treated for
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking
     
As with any drug, do not adjust your Zithromax dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Zithromax Side Effects

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Zithromax. However, not everyone who takes Zithromax will experience side effects. Also, when people do develop side effects to Zithromax, in most cases they are minor, meaning that they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
 
Common side effects of Zithromax include but are not limited to:
 
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Cramping
  • Abdominal pain (or stomach pain)
  • Headache.
